The machine itself is fine. But the screw hole on the straight head doesn't fit the holes on the cable tip. I can put on other heads but not the straight head. It is annoying since it is the most used one. Will try to contact the manufacture to see if I can get a replacement head.

Great product! It got a few different attachments head to open up the toughest clogs. I was able to unclog my drains in 3-5 mins. The product is quite heavy, but feels very durable and heavy duty for sure. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this product.

I am not an experienced plumber by any means! I have a sink drain with a garbage disposal that gets clogged about every four months. The clog is about 40 feet away from the sink. The smaller augers won't reach the clog. I learned that the clog was 40 feet away from plumbers coming out cleaning the drain and telling me this. I watched them clean the drain the last two times and noticed that they used a tool tip on the end of the auger snake to hit the clog which punctured the clog allowing the water to drain, but they didn't follow up with a cutter blade to completely clear the clog at that time I didn't know that this wasn't correct and thought they cleared the entire clog. Apparently this is a trick that is done for repeat business by some plumbers. If you don't know, you think the clog is clear because the water goes down, but it's only a matter of time before the clog reseals itself, and you have to call again. So back to the use of this machine. It's very easy to use the straight piece or spade bit to find the clog and pierce it and then go back in with a cutter bit and let it clean out the rest of the clog. Make sure you go slow! I found that that it works much better going slow, allowing it to just slowly cut through the sludge in the pipe. Also, I wanted to point out that the cutter bits are include with this machine you don't have to buy them separately. I didn't see that mentioned in the packaging of the product or any other review. I did see them in pictures but you can buy them separately, and you never want to assume. The pipe that I used this on was a 2" inch pipe, and it did just fine with this auger; it was the first time I ever used a power auger, and I had no issues.

Product worked as expected to clean out pipe jammed up with tree roots. While the price was comparable to hiring a plumber, now I have the means to do this myself. Since I live in an older home, I can proactively maintain clear pipes. Took some time to learn how to effectively use, but it is just a matter of patience and time. If you don't want to pay a plumber for simple clogs and you are reasonably handy, this is the way to go.

Just got my Olympia electric auger with 50 ft. Of 5/16 i core cable. I'm gonna save you from all the nasty stuff that came out of my drain pipes. I am gonna show you the pictures of it when I got out of the Box. In the Box it comes with the it catchment cutter head bade cutter not too sure their nanes of them. . But it comes out the Box ready to work. You can plug this directly up to the wall outlet or you can put it with the in-line foot peda. I thought that was pretty neat. It took me less than 5 minutes to understand how to run this machine. And compared to the cost of a plumber. I am very happy this is tool.

This is a definite Great Value item. After one use I saved more than the amount it would have cost me to hire a drain service to come out. I have a shower drain in my master bathroom shower that was clogged afterr many years of use. Being the original owner, I know for a fact the drain line has about a six and a half to seven foot run of near horizontal travel before it goes down the wall. This long area has built up a significant amount of calcium and shower scum. Even when I opened the drain to look straight down I could see the narrowing of the pipe. This unit cleaned the entire pipe extremely well in a very very short period of time. The unit comes with four heads. The typical spring head that will remove any hairy items. A long straight cutter for pipes where you can go in straight and don't need to worry about an elbow. A Diamond Cutter for those very tight clogs and most likely in metal pipe. The fourth cutter is the one I used and is rounded. Take a look online and you will see the four different heads. In the images I've posted you will also know that this is the head I've attached to the end of the snake line. The only reason I didn't give this 5 out of 4 stars for quality is these four pieces are drilled slightly off from where they would need to be for easy installation to the end of the cable. I took a small file and oblong the hole in the pieces in about 15 seconds enough to get the screw through. Not a big deal to me but maybe a big deal to other people. After reading the instructions completely and understanding how the unit works I went to work. The unit does have a foot or knee button so that you can set the drill to the proper direction and speed before usage. I put this one as you can see in the images and video right near my knee. I also put towels underneath the unit so as not to scratch the tile. I got the shower running with warm water pointing to the corner so there was water going down the drain. In this way I figured what I was cutting would then go through the drain and not clog it even further. I went slowly as you can see and worked the snake. This video is of the second pass I was making through the drain. The first pass through did take me a little bit more effort and I went quite slowly to make sure all debris was being washed forward and did not back up the line. Folks this is an absolute must by if you need a drain cleaner. I had time to get this from and did not need it in an emergency. The single-use I just made with this unit has paid for itself. Each additional useful now save me a ton of money. Buy it!

So much better than paying 0 a pop to have my old galvanized drain pipes cleaned out two or three times a year. Since my house is old and still has metal drain lines they catch debris and the washing machine backs up into the house a couple of times each year. This has a basic coil end to get hair or other simple blockage taken car of but it also has auger bits so when the tree roots block the lower section toward the street I can cut them and keep the toilet flushing. The unit has good power and a foot pedal to start and stop so you can have both hands to feed the cable while using a rag to catch any drips. This is going to save me so much time and money.

I am so happy that I found this because my hand held auger was broke my stepson's kid and and my drains was acting up,When my washing machine runs it would back up into my kitchen sink.So I used a drain bladder for now until i got this .Now I hope not to have anymore more problems with any of the drains.i know my cleanouts with never be clogged again .
